Our Story

At Beacon Hill Honey, we believe in the power of beekeeping to heal both people and the planet. Our mission is to:

  • Help you develop a relationships with bees through our Bee Well Garden services

  • Foster overcoming PTSD, anxiety, and stress through the therapeutic benefits of beekeeping with beekeeping exposure and mentoring,

  • Contribute to the health of the environment by educating people and fostering strong, thriving bee populations.

As an Army Veteran who has found solace in the calming rhythm of the hive, I am dedicated to helping people find the same relief. The natural frequency of a honeybee’s buzz has been shown to promote relaxation, lower cortisol levels, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system—helping to ease stress and restore mental balance. Through hands-on beekeeping experiences, we offer you the opportunity to connect with nature, practice mindfulness, and rediscover focus and purpose.

Beyond healing, our mission is to protect and expand bee populations. Bees are responsible for pollinating one out of every four bites of food we eat, yet they remain under constant threat. At Beacon Hill Honey, we specialize in education through creating Bee Well Gardens—pollinator-friendly spaces that support environmental health while providing therapeutic beekeeping experiences.

Step into a bee suit and immerse yourself in the world of the honeybee! Whether you're interested in starting your own backyard hive or simply looking to spend a peaceful day with the bees, you'll gain a new appreciation for these vital pollinators while harvesting honey straight from the hive.

For many beekeeping has been life-changing—I am living proof of this. Bees offer a sense of peace, focus, productivity and purpose. One veteran shared:

"When things get hectic and overwhelming, I sit in front of the hive, close my eyes, and listen to the bees as I feel my body change as my mind resets."

At Beacon Hill Honey, we want to share this peace with you. We invite you to experience the healing hum of the hive—because when we care for the bees, we care for ourselves. You don’t need to be a veteran or have a story of struggle—you simply need a heart for change.

At Beacon Hill Honey, our relationship with bees helps nurture the earth, our bees, and a community we all share.
